1984 E30ELCRR Spark plug question

I finally figured out what year my Evinrude 35 was(It either a E30ELCRR or E30PLCRR, hard to tell and can't find that engine name).

I guess its a 1984 and I am trying to replace the spark plugs. The previous owner had J8C in there and I am confused why. It sounds like they use the QL77JC4. I am new to working with boat engines I am just confused on why they would do that and would that effect the performance. Is the QL77JC4 the correct spark plug for the motor?

Also any tips to lubricating OMC drive cable would be helpful too.

Solved

Just need to figure out why the Drive cable is so stiff at when getting towards full throttle. Is it just corrosion? Or could the plastic lock nut just be to close?
