(15hp) stop after 5 minutes of slow trolling

Evinrude 1996, 4 strokes, manual start.

Second test on water today. Good performance with speed.

Problem:

After 5 to 6 minutes of slowly trolling the engine start to run unevenly then stop. I can restart right away but I have to give RPM a few minutes before getting back to my slow trolling speed. Then it stall again after 5 to 6 minutes.

Solutions?

I found a solution!

In the shop manual, they show a idle mixture screw on top of the carb.
When the engine stop after 5 minutes of trolling it is hard to restart and smoke a lot, so I thought the mixture was to rich at low RPM.

So I turned the idle mixture screw a tiny bit by the wright, leaving I beleive less fuel in the mixture, and it is running better now.

Do you have a better solution?
