  • Water pump removal + 15 hp 4stk 1996 HELP

    Help would be appreciate!

Took off the 6 bolts holding the foot of the motor but I cannot find the bolt to undo the shifting rod.

So I most have a tip to help me find that bolt or srew that will free the bottom of the engine.

    Thank

      No, it's not there

        Eureka! I found the secret

There is no not and bolt.

On the shif lever, we have to disconnect a "clip" and free the shifting rod.
The shifthing rod slide down in parallel with the power shaft.

Found the answer by bying on internet the shop manual (10$)

But the bad side is that I still dont have a water pump working! Keep serching!

Ahh under the carb.I know that one.Im not sure what your saying about not having a pump yet ,but if you got the impeller in dont trust a set of ear muff.Drop the whole lower unit in a barrel or something. Some of these motors will not work on muffs.

            Mr Smith is wright

            YES!
The ears muff was the problem. By using a deep bucket full of water, the water pump started.

            Thanks.
