Ok I need some help here. Having problems with the lift pump. I took it to a dealer last year to have it diagnosed, they found a tear in the lift pump diaphram. I couldn't afford the $1000. So I brought it home and did alittle research. I ordered a rebuild kit for a 175 ficht, but I used the original springs when I changed the diaphram out. It starts and runs great. But I have a spark knock now. I have spoke with a few mechanics that said that the reason I'm getting this is because I didn't replace the whole lift pump. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Especially since the lift pupmp is pretty well obsolete. Thanks ahead of time for the help.
