I have a year 2000 Evinrude 15 horse outboard. I have replaced the water pump and I get good flow up to the carburetor. Water does not make it through the bottom of the carburetor and out the piss tube. Piss tube is clear. Water just does not come out lower carb. 'What could be wrong and how do I fix it. Why is this water routed through the lower carb? Does it aid performance of the carburetor? Help please. thanks, john

Thats called your overboard indicator.It should only trickle or drip.If you have a good flow on the pee hole this will just drip if hooked up correctly.

The overboard indicator lets you know that your thermostat is open.It won't drip till the motor gets hot.
