Just wondered if any one had any recommendations for a prop?
I don't know if one I have might be to big?
77 17' glastron hp-171 b*** boat w/ 81 Johnson 140 v-4 has raker 13.5x22 stainless 3 blade prop.
Can go about 47-48mph on GPS with all gear and 2 guys in the boat.
Just didn't know if it should be faster than that or not?
Don't get me wrong it's fast enough but every one wants faster and I just want to be sure I'm getting the most out of the engine.
Working on fixing tach so I can see what kind of rpm I'm running at wot. I've read this engine should run about 5500 wot.
I haven't really been able to find anything on anyone who had this boat.
