I just bought a 91 Stratos boat with a 115 evinrude on it. I took it to the lake and it started fine, made it out of the no wake zone fine, but when I went to open it up........it tried to bog down and die. After a few minutes of playing with the throttle in neutral, it finally took off full speed and ran great. If I stop then take off again it does fine as long as I dont turn the motor off or let it idle for a few minutes. Its like the gas it building up and cant burn it off quick enough. At full speed the motor pushes me around 50 MPH so I dont think its anything too major. I left the motor at idle speen while I went and backed the trailer in the water and by the time I got back it had quit and was hard to start back. As I said like its flooding or something. Would a can of carb cleaner or changing to a hotter plug help maybe? Or maybe having the fuel-air mixture adjusted? Thanks and any info would help
