etec or di whats the difference?

I am looking to repower a 5.6 meter aluminium boat with a 115 outboard and have found a 2006 di with no hours on it just would like to know the difference from e tec and any issues with this engine

ETEC is the newest version of the direct injected engines, the olf FICHT engine had a lot of problems and ETEC solved most of the problems.
