2005 Evinrude 175's

In the process of determining if I should purchase a pair of subject engines.
I know these engines don't have the greatest reputation. These engines have been professionally maintained and appear to be in good condition. I am waiting to get the computer reports from the mechanic that worked on them in the past.
I think I can get them for <$5K delivered w/ al rigging including controls, gauges, props etc...

Any thoughts? Looking for some owners with 1st hand opinions....

Parts availability is only concern. More and more parts are becoming discontinued each year and now that Evinrude is out of business it may become even harder to find parts.

I called boats.net yesterday and spoke to a representative.
He told me most normal maintenance parts are readily available.......is this accurate?

Normal maintenance items are available, but if need lower unit parts, injectors or something like that you may have trouble finding them.

What about water pump kits? lower unit seal kits?
