I have ordered and received a new stator for a 1986 20 hp evinrude. P/N is 0768759. The new stator has three wires, two yellow and one yellow/black. Does it mater which yellow wire goes to which screw on the terminal block? My old stator has a yellow wire, a yellow/blue and a yellow/black wire. Yellow/black I know its location. Two yellow wires are my concern.

On an added note. I know which screws the yellow and yellow/blue wires came off of on the terminal block. I am just asking does it matter which of the two yellow wires, (since there are no color markings on them) goes to which screw terminal? -
No it doesn't matter, yellow to yellow and yellow to yellow/blue is fine.Comment
