i purchased my first boat a 89 gl***master with a 79 55 hp. ran fine when i purchased the boat. started right up. the next weekend i took it out on the river about 3 miles up. fished for an hour or so and went to crank it over. nothing. i got it home has spark and turned over but no start. i replaced the fuel line tank and internal lines.thinking it was a fuel issure. went for start kicked a little but the primer bulb went soft. after trying to start for about 10 mins i fried the starter. replaced the starter. and same thing is going on. its hard to start the compression cycle seems really strong and the starter cant fight it. almost like a woop..... woop... woop. any sugestions?
