The power trim on the 115 horsepower outboard motor quit working for no apparent reason. The boat and motor are in a shop and it is closed up out of the weather. The battery is fully charger so I know it is not the battery. Any suggestions on how troubleshoot the problem?

The switch of the PTT unit has three wires... red, blue, green. You should have 12v at the red wire... check it. If no voltage, find out why.
To test the electric motor... trace the wires from the electric motor back to its connector and disconnect. Now apply voltage directly to the electric motor from a known good fully charged battery. Reversing the wires makes the electric motor run in the opposite direction. If the electric motor runs, then obviously it is okay.
Many times a problem like that is due to a loose connection somewhere or a tight but dirty (corroded) connection whereas cleaning and re-tightening the terminals corrects the problem.
