1998 Evinrude 200hp outboard

I need to replace my shift cable on my 98 Triton TR21 with Evinrude 200hp outboard. Anyone have any tips? There's a round black plastic retainer near the driver's seat that broke so it won't shift out of forward. thanks.

The length of cable(or part number) is usually stamped about 1 to 2 foot from end of cable, helps to order correct cable. Remove cable from control box and engine, tie new cable onto old cable and pull old cable out and new cable in.

Ok. Great. Where can I get a copy of the owner’s manual? I want the proper procedure for winterizing/de-winterizing. I’m having trouble finding it
