175hp Ficht Compression Test

Need step by step instructions to perform Compression Test on my 2000 Evinrude 175hp Ficht. E175FPXSSV.

Remove all spark plugs, install compression gauge, open throttle all the way and crank engine over until compression gauge maxes out. Record readings from each cylinder, should be no more than 15% difference between cylinder readings.

Do I need to have the ear muffs on the water pickup? Even though all spark plugs are removed I still do 1 cylinder at a time? Do I need to do anything special with the disconnected spark plug wires?

Don't have to flusher on it, You can pull the landyard(emergency stop cord) to prevent ignition from firing.
