1985 150 hp sport

Looking at purchasing a 1997 deck boat that has a 1985 150hp "sport" Evinrude, motor is clean and have been told and looks like it has very low hours. An outboard that year makes me a little nervous, should I be? It started right up and sounded good, the current owner indicated the only issue he has had is it was a little hard to start on a couple of really hot days after it had been running a long time, but always started. It also a matching donor motor that had locked up, but lower unit, electronics and tilt as back up. Your thoughts and thank you in advance.

They were good motors, the fuel economy wasn't very good. Some parts are getting harder to find, normal maintenance parts are available but internal engine, power trim unit or lower units parts may not be available.
