15 hp pull start evinrude wont spark

I suspect the ignition module but im not sure, everything is in good shape though. the engine is a 2000 model e15r4sse. and if it is the module, is there anyway that i could replace the power pack and not have to pay over $300 dollars for a new module. im new to this and dont know where to start. thanks

The ignition module is the power pack, not sure what you mean.
