lower gear case oil

In the service manual they say use HI-VIS gear oil (1980 Evinrude 35 HP). Been to Walmart and couple of local Auto Marine stores and no luck on HI-VIS, is there any other oil I can use? and what about weight? if that matters.

HI-VIS is Evinrudes gearcase lub, have to get it at Evinrude or Johnson dealer.

I know your saying its Evinrudes or Johnsons gear oil. But is there another product I can use such as Pennzoil High Viscosity Lower Unit Gear Oil SAE 80W-90 API GL 5 performance without doing harm to unit. Nearest Evinrude dealer is around 1 1/2 hrs away.

Not familiar with other brands of oil, it should say if it will work in place of Evinrude Hi-Vis
