1989 Evinrude 35hp

I took my boat out this morning everything ran great no issues......brought it home hooked it up to the muffs and now it has a backfire....dont know where it started...but when the motor goes to idle it backfires once and shuts off but if you pilut it in gear and get the rpms ovr idling it will run with no issues!!!!

It's running too lean, may need carbs cleaned.
