I have a new 2012 Ranger with a 225 Evinrude. Runs great but last couple trips when u put the throttle forward or even reverse an press the hotfoot. Nothing happens. I'm guessing the prop doesn't turn?? It just has a low power sound to it. Turn it off. Let it sit for 10 mins and its good to go tons of power. Always at the end of the trip. Using XD100. Of course dealer is closed till 1/3. Any ideas???

Check cable connections, check shift cable at engine to see if engaging in and out of gear and adjusted in neutral position correctly, check hot foot cable connections and see if is advancing throttle on engine. -

Check your fuel supply. I have a 2006 Etec 225 and had the same experience, although mine would move, but very sluggish. I checked the bulb and it was soft. Had a small air leak.Comment
