what engine model..year?

Hi just got my first boat and don't know what engine model it haves.
From previous owner I know that is a 40hp. engine cover is white with a red logo on a side "Evinrude". it have an electric starter. 2 sparks. cannot find the naneplate..was painted

Can anyone tell me what can be the year.. model..maybe seen something similar.

Look on engine block for a round alum plug with model number stamped in it.
