Engine Sizing

Hi.....is there a chart available that recommends minimum engine sizes for a boats dimensions?
I have a 17' bowrider with an 88hp evinrude and would like to downsize to a smaller (perhaps tiller) engine size

No there is no chart, might boat manufacture to see what they recondmend.
