How do I take an Evenrude shifter apart? Got any diragrams on this? It seems that my shifter sticks when trying to put in gear.. I squeeze lock release and it binds up. Is there an adjust for this? thanks

Sticking at control box. I have one that is flat looks like a half circle with a rectangle on side. Mounted flush. I has been so hard to change gears , screws are (holes) larger and falling out. I have a 2000 Evinrude ( Model
