1986 model E4BRHCDE lower engine cover

im looking for an lower engine cover for my 1986 model E4BRHCDE. if i cant find one for a good price, could i still run it without it. should i put some kind of filter on the carb. i runs and everything just it didnt come with the lower engine cover. i guess thats why i got such a good price on it. please help me out.

It's not good to run it for long period of time with cover off, it could lean engine out too much.

lower engine cover

im having trouble finding a lower cover. could i make a intake filter out of a motorcycle filter or something. or anyone know where i can find a lower cover for a E4BRHCDE.
