1972 18hp Broken Steering Shaft

I have sheared the steering shaft on my motor. I've found the needed parts (all still available from Evinrude) but cannot find any grease requirements.
Does anyone have any suggestions or tips for this type of repair? Is this repair covered in the Service Manual? Anyone with a Service Manual they would share?

Use marine grease like Evinrude Triple Guard.
