Trying to replace water pump have all the bolts out the lower unit will not separate from the middle unit. I did it 8 years ago ive just forgotten how to split the case to get to the drive shaft any help on this from anyone,\. Dave pflegl 801-592-1007 dfpflegl@aol.com

Be sure you have removed all the lower unit bolts and disconnected the shift shaft. Be sure to remember the bolt above the trim tab. -

On the 1979 115 evinrude the shift linkage is all located at the top of the engine in the front engine galleyway. Disconnect all the bolts 1 on the cabeling way, 1 on the double side by side clips and the two on the throttle body. Slide the clips apart down comes the motor. Thanks for all the help.Comment
