Connecting wiring harness to oil tank

I have a 97' E50TLEUC with the variable rate oil tank...I recently redone the entire boat and I'm trying to figure out how to hook up the oil tank to the wiring harness. Both the wire from the oil tank and the wire on the wiring harness is female and are identical in size/shape/color with 3 pin terminals. How are they supposed to be hooked up together? is there a connector or what?

That style should have a pigtail that only connects one way.

Yea both look like pigtail connectors....but they are both female. So they will not hook up together.....I'm wondering is there terminal pins that slide into each connector to hook them together or what...the parts diagram on here is vague and just has part numbers....
