  • 1987 90HP V4 fuel issue

I don't know the part number for an installation of a pre-mix pump, removing the VRO unit, on the 90HP V4 crossflow motor.

      Pre-mix pump

      ***...that's gonna leave a mark.

I am going to take a look at my motor more closely to see if it has the mounting bosses and the port (that would be capped now), and then use a standard style pump to replace the VRO current pump in use.

      thanks

you can put a vacuum guage before the fuel pump to read the fuel pumps suction.

          VRO oil pump blocked off

I have posted my fuel issue, but have come to the conclusion that I'm gonna replace the VRO combo fuel/oil pump with a straight fuel-only pump, as I have a theory I wanted to throw out here that someone could evaluate.

          Thoughts?

Good theory, only problem is the VRO pump is vacuum operated, there is no shaft.

              OK

              OK

I am replacing the VRO pump which then must have a bad fuel-pump side.
