1989 50hp missing at wot

Hi guys, new member here. I just bought a 1989 50 Model TE50TLCEC. Starts up just fine, although I did replace the plugs anyway. The only problem is at WOT it misses. Some one suggested that it was probably the stator. If I replace the stator should I also replace the rectifier also. Would the powerpack act up at wot even tho it starts right up? The plug wires appear to be good and I did not replace as the engine starts good. Which direction do you recommend I go?

Might start with cleaning carbs to make it's not starving for fuel. Any part of the ignition system could cause a miss, stator, trigger coild, power pack or ignition coils.
