  • Throttle stuck and now motor stays I. Neutral

My boat is a 95 alumaweld intruder w/ evinrude 150 commercial .. Omc controls , I think the controls were from my 83 e rude 140..
I was messing around the lake today and the throttle was first locking and would unlock and was fine for awhile.. Then i started the motor when wanting to go back to the marina and the motor was rehung high in reverse in the lock position and when I would unlock it it was jamming back in reverse, I messed with it and then noticed after shutting the motor off that pushing lever all the way forward made the control free again , then started fine but went for about then started to jam in reverse.. Now the throttle is free seem like and motor stays in neutral and won't do anything moving into forward and reverse.. Boat out of the water and mover the control forward and back and the net gate moves up n down idk , just wondering if anybody had this issue before , having my me haninc hopefully had enough time to look at t Monday ..

Any help and advice is greatly appreciated

Your controls could be out of adjustment. Also verify your engine is not idling too high.

No the engine idling is fine, as when hot neutral since the controls won't engage it purrs like a kitty lol.. My mech did adjust the controls earlier this summer..
So can controls get out of adjustment just by using it??
Th boat ran fine the whole summer , maybe since its getting cold in the morning

Yes the control cables and stretch creating adjustment issues. Could also be having issues in your control box itself.
