Bogging down 70hp Evinrude

Hi All
l have a 70hp Evinrude Outboard which keeps bogging down every time l try to accelerate. Does anyone have an ideas as to why this keeps happening? Thankyou.

Start with a couple of simple tests, compression and spark. While you have the plugs out, make sure they are the correct ones and in good shape and the gap is correct. If they are ok move on to the fuel system, make sure all fuel connections are clean and tight. If all that checks out, it might be time to overhaul the carbs.

Thanks for the suggestions.Yes l have done the carbbies too. But l did notice that my timing was not advancing quick enough it seems like its getting stuck midd way before WOT.

If you disconnect the timing advance does it move freely?

It seem to me that the wireing harness is very stiff which could restrict it from moving freely.
