1991 25hp evinrude running problem

Had engine and carb serviced. Motor starts fine
But when u put it in gear it falls down and dies
Mechanic said to adjust idle screw. Any other advice would
Be sweet.

It is possible the carburetors were not properly linked, synced and adjusted. First sync, carbs, adjust air/fuel screw (start at 1.5 turns out). Then you can adjust the idle.
