OK, last week i posted a threat "The most perplexing issue I have ever had". I mentioned my motor ran beautifully one night, then the next I had to switch back and forth between full and no choke (back and forth, back and forth) just to get home. I was told to check the vent on the new plastic gas can i have with the quik-connect hose. therre is no vent - says so right on the label. I cleaned the choke/carb with cleaner. I started out with a brand spankin' new gas tank and hose and fresher than a baby's arse gasoline. Compression= good. Plugs=new.
i will be honest about something tho....i noticed last night the motor was racing to beat the band and i was going 1.5 mph. i pulled up the motor and found tons of weeds. will weeeds cause the choke/no choke thing? doi just need to be more vigilant about weed control on the prop?
