2001 15 hp 4 stroke won't idle

15 hp four stroke will start, but won't stay running in neutral or in gear .It will run for approximatly 5 minutes and then die , if i prime it before it dies it will stay running but eventually dies again . I connected another tank and fuel line but problem still persists. Engine increases in rpm just prior to stalling. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like a bad fuel pump. You should also remove the carburetor and thoroughly clean.
