fuel line

I have a 1989 6hp Evinrude.The fuel line comes loose from the engine end,doesn't appear to be latching into place.Just bought a new Atwood primer bulb from Wal-Mart.Is the problem in the line or the connector on the engine?Or somewhere else?Engine runs grear for 1/2 hour or more,shut it down and the line comes loose,sometimes the primer bulb is flat also.

You should fix the connection issue, this will cause fuel problems. The fuel pump may also be an issue.
