My motor started to run rough last fall, long warn up time and could barely get the boat to plane. I found this out 3 days ago from someone who went out with the guy I loaned the boat to...so I drained last year's fuel, oils etc. changed the plugs and tried taking it out...it won't idle, stumbles and sputters...within a minute plugs were fouled. Other things I noticed..when I squeeze the squeeze ball it does not get hard and I can hear what seems to be a leak, the fuel did spray out at one point when I was squeezing it. At motorhead (not marine mechanic) friend says it is overfueling and is likely in need of a fuel pump. Help!

cant get anyone to look at boat too busy
if I cannot get the squeeze ball to pump full and fuel escapea when I pump wouldnt this indicate a different problem?Comment

If primer bulb stays collasped then have a fuel restriction in hoses, filters or pickup at gas tank, if it is not pulling fuel then bad bulb or have a air leak in fuel hoses or connections.Comment
