Greetings.
I have a 1975 4hp that will start however after a few minutes will sound like it is bogging down and stall. Becomes very hard to turn. Let it cool down completely will start again for a couple of minutes then stall again. Any suggestions I can try.
I also have a 1972 4hp that tries to start but does not run. I pulled this one apart and the top ring of one of the cylinders came out in pieces. The cylinder feels fairly smooth however there are some scrapes on the piston. Wondering if possibly just a new ring may get this one going.
Would like to get one of these engines running again. Any insight?
