40 horse starts but wont run

engine starts after priming but will run for about 15 sec then quits any suggetions

I pulled off one of the supply lines to the carb and fuel seed to pump. What is the recomended test

Run a fuel vacumn test on suction side of fuel pump and pressure test on output side of pump to see if getting enough fuel and it is actually pumping enough fuel.
