  • Trouble with bearing housing

Having problems getting the bearing housing out of the lower unit on a E35ELCND. Have tried heat and a puller, but nothing seems to move. Any idea's?

If you have removed the bearing housing bolts, then it will slide out. May require a specialty slide hammer.

Both bolts were removed and used a puller with some heat and would not budge. Are there more than the two bolts holding the beraing housing? Had a hard time making a puller, 1/4" bolts needed to be 8" long and had to splice them together to make them work. Longest i could find were 6". Put all kinds of pressure on the housing but still will not move. What am I missing?

You cannot use a standard puller, you may be pulling on the bearing housing retainer. The two bolts are the only bolts you need to remove.
