Took my new to me boat out and all was good and quite till the return trip. It was noticably loud but ran the same. I am thinking that the exhaust gasket is bad under the engine. What does everyone think? What will I need to do to pull the engine up and install a new gasket? Is it as simple as unbolting the engine lifting it up and replacing it? I have a repair manual ordered for it but wanted some opinions first. Thanks!

Its not too complicated, just time consuming. With a manual you should not have any problems. Could be a gasket, with the powerhead removed, check the exhaust tuner for holes.

The tuner is the exhaust tube below the engine (powerhead).

It is just unbolted and lifted out. You have to be sure to unhook everything and unbolt all the bolts. If it gives you problems, your missing a bolt somewhere.
