model e8rcic evinrude 7.5 hp... On the roller that rides on the timeing advancement plate,it is attached to a horse shoe type bushing with the rod running from it to the carburators shaft for the throttle (not the choke). The horse shoe style bushing has two hole in it, the holes are not threaded. The parts breakdown shows a adjustment screw that is screwed into the holes. My motor did not have any screw in it. This is my question( When I put a screw in the holes to adjust the trottle butterfly, I move the trottle lever on the tiller handle to wide open, and adjust the screw until the butterfly is parallel with the carburator? right?) On other motor I have worked on this is the procedure for adjusting the butterfly. just wanted to double check dont want to burn it up, thanks
