Varify that your safety kill switch is working properly. You should then test the ignition control module (powerpack, under flywheel).

Yes, that was my next step. I have the flywheel off, and found a chip off of one of the magnets. Also, I'm guessing the defective magnet, has worn through the ignition control module. Which is, I'm gonna guess is the issue ultimately. Are these magnets serviceable? Also where is this play coming from. I feel no play in the crankshaft. Can I upload pics on here?

A small chip in magnet wont be a problem, if a large portion of magnet is missing that would be a problem. Test output voltage of charge coil with a peak reading voltmeter to see within specs.

Will do but, do I just hope the magnet doesn't ruin the 300$ in parts its skimming? Obviously they would be cleaned up but, evidently, its not structurally sound. Can they be replaced? Or epoxy?

You can re-epoxy the magnets however they cannot be purchased separately.

Ok, thanks. What do u think initially failed? I can't feel any slack in the crankshaft. I can't bring myself to replace all these electronics without knowing what could have happened to cause all this to collide in the first place

Its hard to say. May have been like that from the factory.
