  • New Member With a Question

Just registered and have a question for you. I have a 1996 E150ELEDB that I've owned for about a year now. I have just disabled the VRO2 per my shop manual and everything seems to be working fine with that. My owners manual calls for Champion QL82YC plugs. The motor had NGK BPZ8HS (10) when I bought it and that's what I'm still running in it. Now the question. I seem to remember reading or hearing somewhere that you needed to run a different plug if you disabled the VRO2 and mixed the gas. Is this true and what would be the best plug for me to use? Thanks in advance for any help.

I have not heard that, there should not be a difference. The oil mixture should be the same.

Thanks for the reply. Would you recommend the Champion or the NGK's?
